Puerto Iguazú

IGUASSU FALLS Argentinean Side

Duration: 6 hours (including transfers)

Hours: The National Park operates every day from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.


This walk offers a complete approach and appreciation of both the fauna and flora and the waterfalls themselves, which are literally at your fingertips.

The tour begins with the transfer from the hotel to the Iguazú National Park (35 km from Foz or 29 km from Puerto Iguazú), we will arrive at the Visitors' Center which has a great infrastructure (restaurants, souvenir shops, bathrooms, medical support).

A total of 7 km of pathways, and an ecological train will assure that you see the whole of the waterfalls complex in comfort. The train connects the visitors' center to the beginning of the Upper and Lower trails being also the only way to get access to the Devil's Throat, the largest of the single Cataracts of the falls complex.


Recommended Optional: La Gran Aventura Safari by boat and the Ecological floating.
Activities to combine: Three Frontier Border, Stone Markers, the Bottle House or the Hummingbird Garden.

GREAT ADVENTURE SAFARI BY BOAT


Duration: 2 hours (inside the national park).

Hours: Every day from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.


The Great Adventure Safari is made up of two stages, the first takes place in open all-terrain vehicles through one of the most emblematic roads of the Iguazú National Park, the Yacaratiá Trail. Specialized guides will help us discover the natural links that make this landscape one of the most biodiverse in the world.

Once we arrive at the Iguazú River downstream from the Falls, we will continue the ride in a fully equipped boat where we will go upriver through its rapids until we reach the foot of the most impressive waterfalls. Time for photographs and return to base..


EIt is advisable to combine this activity with the trip to the Falls, in this way, in addition to optimizing time, you avoid paying the National Park entrance fee twice.


FLOATING ECOLOGICAL TOUR


Duration: 30 minutes.

Hours: Every day from 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


This peaceful row boat ride navigates upstream from the falls with expert rowers and takes us to a next level connection with the area's Nature. An ideal tour for nature lovers who prefer a serene experience through shallow waters.



We recommend combining this activity with a visit to the DEVIL'S THROAT.

IGUAZU RIVER NAVIGATION


A particular alternative to return from the Falls to the City of Puerto Iguazú.


Duration: 2 hours (transfers not included).
Departure: From the National Park Visitor Center.
End of navigation: In the port of the city of Puerto Iguazú.


A 5.5 km tour through the JUNGLE in all-terrain vehicles will tak

e us along the Yacaratiá Trail to Puerto Macuco, where we will board motor boats to navigate down the Iguazú River for 18 km to Puerto Iguazú.
This light tour offers us a different perspective of the riverbank environment, the rocky landscape and the protected forest that both the Argentine and Brazilian National Parks offer us.
The boat journey finishes as we arrive at the confluence with the Paraná River where we will be able to appreciate the junction of three countries (Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay) from a unique perspective.

FALLS UNDER THE FULL MOON


Duration: 4 hours (including transfers).

Schedule: Operates on Full Moon nights (check calendar) limited room: 7:45 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.


The silence of the night brings to your ears the murmur of the jungle along with the roar of Devil's Throat, a unique experience that takes place only 5 nights a month.


Once you arrive at the National Park from your accommodation, you will take a journey through the jungle aboard the Ecological Train from the Central station to the Devil's Throat station. Later we will begin a walk having the moon as our only light source along one of the walkways over the Upper Iguazú River until we reach the balcony of the majestic Devil's Throat where you can see the abundant and silvery mantle thanks to the natural reflection of the full moon.


There is the possibility of enjoying dinner at the Grand Melia Hotel or El Fortín Restaurant inside the Park. Consult.


HUMMINGBIRD GARDEN


Visiting Hours – Daily from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.


The Hummingbird Garden is a natural site dedicated to the conservation, observation and study of hummingbirds. It is designed to attract and protect these beautiful creatures by offering them a suitable habitat for their feeding and reproduction.


It is a perfect attraction for lovers of nature, bird watching and photography, as well as for those who want to learn more about the biodiversity of the region.

A magical corner where nature and the beauty of birds merge to offer a unique experience to visitors.


Important:

We recommend visiting this attraction in combination with some of the activities that Puerto Iguazú offers.

THE HOUSE OF BOTTLES


Visiting Hours – Daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.


A Cultural, Social, Ecological and Tourist attraction, a proposal that raises awareness about the environment.


The House of Bottles (La Casa de Botellas) is a self-sustaining enterprise conceived by a family of artisans. It is a venture that brings together interesting elements, where the reuse of recyclables (bottles, plastics, containers, cans, etc.) are the basis of creativity and ingenuity.


It is undoubtedly a very interesting place for those who appreciate originality and creativity in the construction of unconventional structures.


Important:

RWe recommend visiting this attraction in combination with some of the activities that Puerto Iguazú offers.

GUIRA OGA

Hours: Daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last visit 4:30 p.m.), groups every 40 min. Duration: 1.5 Hour.


By visiting Güira Oga it is possible to see the winged guests of this Nature Refuge and listen to their stories with the help of guides (environmental educators). You will also learn about the projects in which the Refuge is working on, which will make us reflect on the need to protect wildlife and their environment.


It is important to note that the shelter is not a zoo, it is rather a conservation and recovery center for animals whose injuries do not allow them to survive in the wild and others who will soon return to the Misiones or Atlantic Forest which they call home.

The visit consists of a tour through the forest aboard an eco trailer until you reach the refuge proper. Once there, you will take an 800-meter walk along paths surrounded by native vegetation until you meet its inhabitants and the aviaries among the preserved vegetation offering a living space specially for those that cannot be released back into nature.


Important: This visit can be combined with other activities such as La Aripuca, the Hummingbird Garden, the House of Bottles or the Three Frontier Border Markers.

THE ARIPUCA / THE TRAP

Hours: Daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Duration: 1.5 Hour.


A tourist complex that combines cultural preservation, environmental awareness and natural beauty in one place.

It is an educational and enriching experience for visitors who wish to learn about indigenous culture and the importance of protecting the Atlantic Forest (Misiones Forest).

Its name, "Aripuca", refers to a hunting trap made of sticks and wood by the Guaraní indigenous people to capture birds and other animals.

Tne place main attraction is its structure a trap-like (Aripuca) building made from huge fallen trees and logs which stand out with their average 17 meters in height and more than 500,000 kg in weight, built from more than 30 native species, many of them centuries old, which seeks to raise awareness about the jungle conservation.


Important: This visit can be combined with other activities such as the Hummingbird Garden, the House of Bottles or the Three Frontier Border Stone Markers.

THREE FRONTIER BORDER MARKERS


Hours: Every day (free hours).


The Three Frontier Border Stone Marker is a symbolic mark highlighting the union and diversity of three nations Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay where the Iguazú and Paraná rivers converge, a reference site in the region and a mandatory stop for tourists visiting the Iguazú Falls area.

The site offers panoramic lookout points that allow visitors to enjoy stunning views of the confluence of the rivers and the territories of the three countries, a popular place to watch sunsets.

It also has a cultural area that exhibits historical and cultural traits of the region including elements of the Guaraní indigenous communities.


Important:

We recommend visiting this attraction at the end of the afternoon at sunset time.

This activity can be combined with the Tour to the Falls or visits to La Aripuca, Guira Oga. the Hummimngbord Garden or before any night activity.

WANDA STONE MINES


Hours: Every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.


The Wanda Mines are a perfect tourist destination for lovers of geology, mineralogy and natural beauty. They are located 40 km from Puerto Iguazú and offer a unique educational experience in the middle of the impressive Misiones jungle.

A unique and educational experience, you can take guided tours of the mines and learn more about the geological formation and extraction of stones and explore a variety of crystals in their natural state (amethysts, quartz, topaz, etc).

The Museum houses an impressive collection of fossils and precious stones and offers an enriching insight into the region.
