Born in Granada – Spain, he emigrated to Uruguay when he was just over 20 years old, he pursued different professional activities always dedicated to services. It was not until 1968 when he came upon his real vocation. He opened his own Travel Agency that went by the name of “URUTUR” thus entering the exciting tourism industry.

In the beginning he was solely dedicated to issuing airline tickets, serving mainly the Spanish community based in Uruguay, but it did not take him long to begin developing and moving into the area of Inbound Tourism, thus combining Tourism with his vocation for Service which resulted in the discovery of his true passion. This activity he carried out over the years, transmitting his legacy to his children.

In 1978 with the construction of the Itaipu Dam under way he started a new venture which brought him along with his knowledge and experience to the Iguassu Falls Area. With the help of his children, he started out in Ciudad Presidente Stroessner (today Ciudad del Este), Paraguay and soon afterwards settling permanently in Foz do Iguaçu - Brazil in 1986
