Foz do Iguaçu

IGUASSU FALLS Brazilian Side

Duration: 4 hours (including transfers)

Hours: The National Park operates every day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

Visitors in wheelchairs: Access only to 2 lookout points with the main views


This tour begins with the transfer from the hotel to the Iguaçu National Park visitor center (20 km), subsequently entering the park and transfer in authorized vehicles (10 km) as far as the first lookout point where the walking trail begins. It is a one-kilometer walk that will allow you to have the best panoramic views of the Falls. At the end of the walkway we will have access to a magnificent lookout point that will take you to the rim of the gorgeous waterfalls overlooking the canyon, from where you can sight the "Devil's Throat" the largest of the 270 plus cascading waterfalls (Wet Experience).

At the end trail, you will access the top layer of the three step-like geography of the falls by stair-like steps or elevator from where you can enjoy a general view of the whole of Iguassu Falls from above.


Recommended Optionals: Lunch at Puerto Canoas Restaurant withing view of the upper falls and/or a Trip to Safari Macuco.

MACUCO SAFARI By Boat


Duration: Options 2 hours (plus transfers).

Hours: Every day from 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m


The tour consists of three stages, a 3-km route through the forest on electric vehicles, followed by a walk of about 500 meters through trails through the forest toward the Iguaçu river bank in order to board special boats to navigate upstream in part through rapids as far as the thundering waterfalls. You will be surrounded by water on all sides ensuring unforgettable sensations and images in this realm of water, mists, rainbows that bathe visitors both in body and soul turning it anto an unparalleled experience mixing adrenaline and emotions.


It is advisable to combine this activity with the trip to the Falls, in this way, besides optimizing time, you avoid paying double entrance fees to the National Park.


BIRD PARK


Duration: The complete visit is approx. 1.5 hours (plus transfers).

Hours: The park is open every day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


The visit is carried out through walkways and paths enriched by waterfalls, bridges and abundant vegetation, the path will take us through various and enormous aviaries with more than 600m2 and 8m high, which will allow us to enter and have an experience in direct with toucans, parrots, yacutingas and among others, and you can even feel the flights of about 100 macaws free of visual interference.


We recommend combining this activity with a visit to the Falls, this way you save time and cost on transfers.


Important:

The Bird Park (Parque das Aves) offers a "CONECT" experience, it is an activity where you can interact with park staff in tasks like feeding the birds etc.(This activity is meant for small groups and at very specific times.(Consult).

ABOUT THE HELICOPTER FLIGHT


Duration: Options of 10 and 35 minutes (plus transfers).

Hours: Every day from 9 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (does not operate in rain, wind or fog)


10-minute flight.

Fantastic overflight where we will enjoy unique views and can appreciate the magnitude of both National Parks (Argentinean and Brazilian) and the Iguassu Falls as a whole. The Devil's Throat stands out in all of its splendor.


35-minute flight.

After the flying over Iguassu Falls and the National Park the flight we will continue on to the Itaipu Hydroelectric plant. Along the way we will be able to see plantations, the Iguassu and Paraná rivers including the meeting of the two rivers where Three- border Stone Markers for Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay are located.


The heliport is located at the entrance to the Iguazú National Park next to the Visitor Center. It is advisable to combine this activity with the Waterfall Tour or visit to the Bird Park.


POÇO PRETO (BLACK WELL) BIKE TOUR


Departure: Daily 9:20, 11:20 and 1:20 p.m. houers.


This bicycle tour through the Poço Preto (Black Well) trail takes us deeper into the Atlantic Forest, providing a perfect ambiance for environmental interpretation activities and connection with the biodiversity of the Iguazú National Park.
This tour allows us to live a complete, comfortable and informative experience of this impressive park a UNESCO's World Natural Heritage site.
Along the 9-km route there will be several stops until you reach the banks of the majestic Iguazú River, just before its waters form the iconic Iguazú Falls.
On the horizon, the immensity of the river reveals the magnitude and strength of its water flow.


The return trip can be done by bicycle or using support transportation.

SUNRISE AT THE FALLS


Scheduled Departures (check calendar) – 06:00 hours


The walk begins at the first lookout point located in front of the Belmond Cataratas Hotel and ends in the Puerto Canoas area. A one-kilometer journey through passes and lookout points. Those who may prefer to avoid the walk can choose to begin the adventure in the Naipi Building Area where the panoramic elevators are located. The area houses and give access to three lookout points offering the most privileged views of the waterfalls on the Brazilian side.At the end of the tour participants will enjoy breakfast (included) at the Porto Canoas restaurant served from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.


Important:

Transfers and entrance fees to the park are included.

This tour allows you to stay inside the Park for the rest of the day; this option does not include return transportation which will be the at the visitor's expense.

SUNSET AT THE FALLS


Departure: Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Schedule: Boarding from the Visitor Center at 4 and 4:30 p.m.
Return: At 6:30 p.m. from Espacio Canoas Area.


The walk begins from the park's Visitor Center with transfers to the first lookout point located across from the Belmond Cataratas Hotel and ends in the Puerto Canoas Area.
A magnificent one-kilometer walk to the Sunset through footpaths and lookout points.
Those who want to avoid this walk can choose to begin the adventure in the Espaço Naipí Area where the panoramic elevator will give us access to the main lookout points and privileged views.


At the Espacio Naipí we will enjoy a toast with sparkling wines and juices accompanied by live music (included).


The return transfer is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. departing from Espacio .

NIGHT FALLS' VISIT


Departure: Every Saturday.
Schedule: Boarding: 7:30 p.m. (Visitor Center.)
Access to the Iguassu Falls' walkway: until 9:00 p.m.
Return: to the Visitor Center: 9:00 p.m., 9:30 p.m., 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. (from Porto Canoas area)


This tour allows visitors to discover the National Park's and the Iguazú Falls' night charm as one walks along the walking trail followed by the soundtrack of an endless pounding of waters (restricted access until 9 p.m.). The walk ends at the Cataratas Restaurant (Puerto Canoas Area) next to this Wonder of Nature where, in the company of live music, we will taste cheese varieties and pastas.

ITAIPU DAM


Duration: 2.5 hours (including transfers)

Hours: Every day from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.


At the scheduled time, transfer from the hotel to the Dam's Visitor Center (30min). Upon arrival a very interesting documentary qill be shown. It contains technical data and images from the beginning of the Dam's construction work.

The Panoramic Tour of the Dam happens on Itaipu's own vehicules (a one-hour tour of the dam following am offcial pre-established itinerary safe route with stops at special lookout points for photographs and on site information. Once the visit is completed, we begin our trip back to the hotel.


Activities to combine: Visit to the ECOMUSEUM and/or the ITAIPU Biological Refuge.

ECO MUSEO DE ITAIPU

El Ecomuseo presenta la historia de la región desde la llegada de los primeros humanos hace 6.000 años hasta la colonización de nuestros días, maquetas a gran escala reproducen la mayor central hidroeléctrica del planeta; mapas interactivos gigantes ilustran el antes y el después de la región; vitrinas con piezas arqueológicas, muestras geológicas e insectos; ambiente que reproduce el bosque nativo; réplica perfecta del eje de una unidad generadora en funcionamiento.

BIOLOGICAL REFUGE


Hours: Thursday to Monday limited hours "Consult".

Duration: 2,5 hora.


The tour is divided into two parts, the first includes transportation by vehicle to get to the Bela Vista Biological Refuge. Along the way you will be able to see reforested forest areas and areas set aside for for ITAIPU transmission towers.

The second part of the tour is a walking tour of approximately 2km. During this tour, information will be forwarded about the actions developed by ITAIPU BINACIONAL in the environmental area. It has a stop on the shores of Itaipu Lake or Reservoir where participants will be invited to plant a native tree that will be used for reforestation. Later on we will visit the Biological Resreve's Zoo that keeps animal species native to the Atlantic Forest and are part of a successful national reintrodution program.


Important: This activity can be combined with the Visit to the Dam and/or the Ecomuseum.

THREE BORDER-STONE MARK


Hours: Every day from 3 to 10 p.m. (Cultural Presentations from 6:30 p.m.).

Park hours: Every day from 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Each attraction has its special hours, consult).


Dream Park has a variety of activities (Ice Bar, Wax Museum, Valley of the Dinosaurs, Car Hall, Ecological Dreams Park and Wonders of the World) each of them has its own independent admission pass which means you can visit just one attracton or get a combination.


The Wax Museum

The largest of its kind in the country, is highly prized since features a collection of more than 70 life-size statues.

The Valley of Dinosaurs

With 20 replica dinosaurs including the diplodocus, protoceratops, stegosaurus and carnosaurus.

The Wonders of the World

Park hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Water Show Hs 20:30).


The Wonder Park has two main attractions (Movie Car and Water Show), each of which has its own independent admission ticket, allowing you to visit just one of the attractions or combine both.


Movie Car (Duration 1,5 hs)

This international attraction makes the magic of cinema come true, with more than 20 Hollywood scenes, where you will find the most famous cars from the small screen. An experience that you cannot miss when you are in Foz do Iguaçu.


Water Show (Show Hs 20.30)

Total Walk: 3.5 Kilometers

The activity begins with a walk along the "Ecological Indian Trail Trilha Ecológica do Indio", a path that takes us to the Canoeing base located on the banks of the Iguazú River. Once there participants are equipped and receive the proper instruction, navigation begins heading to the Tamanduá River where thre is a walk to Cascada da Toca (Den Waterfalls) where you can get into the water and bathe. Then we return to the Kayak for the return trip. .


Throughout the tour our guides will provide rich information about the Atlantic Forest, the biome, history and local culture.
